Modern Brand Studio
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This policy applies to purchases of Modern Brand Studio packages and custom work. Please read it before paying for a package or accepting a proposal or statement of work (SOW).
When a project is accepted
A contract is accepted when you purchase a listed package or agree to a written proposal or SOW. We then reserve project time and may begin planning, research, scheduling, or other preparation. Except where applicable law requires otherwise or the SOW expressly provides for a refund, payments and deposits are non-refundable from acceptance.
Work and files already provided
Fees for work already performed or provided are non-refundable. This includes discovery, planning, meetings, design concepts, revisions, development, and any files, drafts, assets, credentials, or access we have delivered to you. Receiving a file or access to work does not require you to use or publish it for the fee to be earned.
Milestones and cancellation
A delivered or accepted milestone is non-refundable. If you ask to stop a project, please tell us in writing. We will stop new work as soon as reasonably practicable, explain what has been completed, and address any future milestones or separately agreed third-party costs under the SOW and applicable law. A change of mind or a new direction does not cancel work already accepted or provided.
Changes and corrections
If a deliverable materially differs from the agreed scope, contact us so we can review and correct it within the agreed revision or support period. New features or changes of direction are quoted separately; dissatisfaction with work that meets the agreed scope is not, by itself, a refund basis.
When a refund may be due
We will review duplicate or incorrect charges, work we cannot deliver, and a material failure to provide the agreed service. Where a refund is due, we will refund the affected amount or the undelivered portion as appropriate. Nothing in this policy removes a statutory remedy or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us first so we can understand and resolve a billing issue. If a chargeback is opened, work on the related project may be paused while the dispute is reviewed. Any rights and obligations under the payment provider’s rules and applicable law remain unaffected.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot legally be waived, including a cancellation or cooling-off right where one applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory law of your country may provide additional protections even after you accept a contract or receive work.
How to request a review
Send the package name, project details, payment reference, and the reason for your request to [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within two business days.
